Since 2015, GREVE OPERA ACADEMY & FESTIVAL (4-week residency) offers singers the opportunity to perform roles in fully staged productions with a professional orchestra. The 2026 edition will feature a full production of NOZZE di FIGARO and other concerts. The Academy, developed & offered by internationally acclaimed faculty, includes daily voice lessons, staging sessions, Italian language lessons, and more. Performances will take place in Greve-in-Chianti, Figline Valdarno, Empoli, Florence, and possibly other locations.

Greve Opera Academy offers to selected participants performances with the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and, the VIRTUOSI OPERA.

Our students have come from the US, Italy, Canada, China, Korea, Austria, Poland, Armenia, Bulgaria, Mexico, India, Romania, Cypress, and Australia. Life-long friendships have been forged in the idyllic Tuscan surroundings.

Greve Opera Academy and Music Festival is a collaborative effort led by the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, VIRTUOSI OPERA, and the municipality of Greve in Chianti in Tuscany, Italy.
